Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We are implored to rely on God’s mercy and compassion to do what is only right to serve Him in return, not to earn bit to please as we are called to. So we must lay down our lives daily to let Him live in us, as we seek to live in a way wholly set apart for His gospel. This means living toward holiness in an acceptable way to please the one who bought us at such a great price. He then changes us from the inside of our thoughts, reason, and affections by that grace. Only by yielding and striving in His wisdom and strength on the altar of death to self will we show forth His complete will that is good in His eyes. Let us be ever willing sacrifices on His grace.
