Gifts of and for Grace

Romans 12:6-8
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Humility in Christ leads us to use the Spirit given gifts of grace.  Whether we speak inspired understanding of the text in speaking, teaching, or preaching, or if we serve others or stir others up to run the race, it must be done by His enabling and for His glory, never our own.  To give generously, lead diligently, and cheerfully show mercy instead of harshness or judgment - this is how we humbly serve Christ and one another as His by His calling.  Generously, graciously, and diligently.  But all by His gifts and power and wisdom.
