The Law Lives in the Heart

Luke 16:17-18
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail. 18 “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.

Though the Law, especially the Ten Commandments, cannot justify us for salvation, it is still God's will in letters - but in one reborn it should be written on our hearts as well.  So the example here is that adultery results from divorce (except for infidelity and when an unbelieving spouse leaves). But there is mercy and forgiveness in Christ.  Yet sin is still sin. The balance in understanding these two truths is essential to not allow sin or to judge others (or self) harshly.
