Luke 15:8-10
8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ 10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
When you lose your treasure, worth both money and status, you diligently search everywhere to find it and can't rest or find peace until you find it. Then you feel compelled to share the good news because of the elation from the peace and satisfaction of it being found. How much more God and His servant angels have abounding joy when just one of us is brought from being hopelessly lost from Him to reconciliation and gracious mercy! That love drove Jesus to suffer and die in our place.
