John 20:30-31
30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
Not every action or word Jesus said was recorded for us in John's gospel account, nor in the others - but what we require to know in order to have life by faith in Jesus as the Anointed man who is Son of God is written down. God gave us the exact amount needed so we can know what reconciling work He did to justify and rescue us from the justice of our due wrath. Much is hidden until that time we see His glory and know as we are perfectly known. But what we have is complete for our salvation and life on this earth to be conformed to the image of God in the face of Jesus Christ. We need not seek elsewhere or speculate beyond the absolute.
