The Son Forsaken for Us

Mark 15:34-39
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” ... 38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!”

God forsook us, judged and condemned by our disobedient sin, but then was forsaken for us Himself as the Son of God and Man.  The veil in the temple separating God's presence from man was then torn down, allowing us access directly to God through Him.  Do we then in awe see Him and confess who He is and what He has done?
