Saved or Condemned?

Mark 16:14-16
14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

When someone sees Jesus, do we believe?  The disciples thought it too fantastic that Jesus could be alive when they saw Him die - yet others saw and told them they did.  So by trust and acceptance of Jesus Christ the good news we speak of on Christmas comes into life.  Not believing actively by receiving keeps us condemned already in our sin, but taking Him and His witnesses at His word is deliverance by forgiveness and reconciling forgiveness from the cross and resurrection of God's Son for us...
