Mark 15:3-5
3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. 4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!” 5 But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.
Jesus fulfilled prophesy to not open His mouth to His accusers, but He also gave us an example of how to respond to accusers and harassment - not in arguing back, but standing firm in the truth. There are times to make a good defense of the gospel, just as there are times to not defend ourselves. In gentleness we must respond, speaking truth in love, defending the faith and not our own behavior, honor, or glory.
