Mark 6:14-16
14 Now King Herod heard of Him, for His name had become well known. And he said, “John the Baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.” 15 Others said, “It is Elijah.” And others said, “It is the Prophet, or like one of the prophets.” 16 But when Herod heard, he said, “This is John, whom I beheaded; he has been raised from the dead!”
Who is Jesus Christ? He was well known when walking this earth, and is still talked about by many; but who do you say that He is? Is He just a prophet or someone else? Consider that He is who He said - God among us, the very word of creation at the beginning of time who has become a man to suffer in our place, take God's wrath on our sin as a forever sacrifice, and rise from death to give us life who trust His word that He did all these things? Who Jesus is is the crux of eternity for us all.
