Matthew 18:2-5
2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
We must hear and trust Christ's words as a child heeds and learns by obedience from natural parents in authority. So we are told to be converted, literally "turned around", hearing and lovingly obeying to follow Him. This humble attitude of complete trust and reliance kills pride and honors God as we listen and trust (faith means trusting with an active response). And so we who are His must also receive all those who so respond to Him as He does us as we follow and lead many to His righteousness and rightness.
