Immersed in Christ

Acts 11:16-18
16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?” 18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

The truth that came with the gospel was an immersion into Christ by His Spirit, not just in water.  That happened to the Jewish followers of Christ first at Pentecost, then to those of other nations.  Now everyone who believes at that point in time of salvation is reborn and filled and sealed by God's Spirit for holiness.  Peter could not speak against God's work in the gentiles so regenerated, so neither can we say who or who not can hear and be changed by the gospel.  Repentance to life is God's work.
