First Called Christians

Acts 11:25-26
25 Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. 26 And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

After Barnabas sought out and accepted Saul and his work with both Jews and gentiles, he took him to Antioch.  After a year there, meeting together and teaching, others saw the change and that they were with Jesus - so they called them "Christians" there for the first time.  Like the apostles on the day of Pentecost, others saw they had been with Jesus and named them as His.  So should we be named for our likeness to and knowledge of Him.
