John 1:14-15
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”
God's Word who was with and was God and made all things became a man, Jesus Christ. Those alive saw God's glory with their own eyes in front of them with truth and grace, such as John the Baptist who understood Jesus was higher than any man, not a mere prophet but God's word who existed from eternity among us, Emmanuel. Since God came among us, so should we pay attention and listen to all He said and was written down for us.
