Those seeking Jesus after He was born into this world were sincere, desiring to worship Him as God become man. Herod was driven by the adversary because he believed about Jesus, but not in Him - that is, not with a broken heart that saw the need to be delivered from sin. So he lied about worship as feared instead of revered Jesus. Search for Him to worship the King of kings, not in fear of judgment, but in hope of grace and mercy.
As I put Christ first each day, this blog stores my quiet time journals while I read through the Bible slowly and thoughtfully. Like Peter, I aim to "rise, kill, eat," as I wake up and make God's word the first thing before breakfast, getting spiritual nourishment first.
