Hunger for Godliness

Matthew 4:1-4
If we are hungry, yet God gives us what we actually need (not just desire), do we pass the test?  Or do we listen to the grumbling of the tempter who tests us to lead us away from trusting wholly in a holy God?  All that God has written for us in His word to us is sufficient in all hunger and every need we come across in life.  The real temptation is to desire elsewhere.  As He tells us, godliness with contentment is great gain.
