Isaiah 45:9, 12-13
“Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! We have no ground to stand on that we can accuse God in how He makes us or whom He chooses for what purpose, even if that purpose is to allow sin’s punishment to bring judgement. He hardens whoever He chooses, and shows mercy on who He wills; it is not our judgement to direct His will or to condemn Him, since we are all condemned in our own sin already (Romans 9:15-18, 20-23). This clay does not rule the Potter's hand, but is subject to His good will to make and use us as He planned.
