Luke 21:10-13
10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
As the beginning of eternity with God draws closer for those called out, but before things grow worse closer to the world's end with wars and natural disasters, His people will be persecuted in pressing times. We will be thrown in prison and it will all be for our testimony of Jesus Christ. So we will use the hard times, even death if necessary, to bear witness of God's grace and mercy in Him who laid down His life for us. So we die daily as we bear the cross. Do signs of the end or beginning of forever consume us?
