Mark 9:49-50
49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. 50 Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.”
The salt of Christ in us as we conform to His image makes us living sacrifices, denying our self serving lives for God glorifying ones. So we can have peace with God and others as we seek not our own, but Him and others as the greatest two commands tell us. The salt of sanctification seasons us for service as we die daily and live forever.
