Matthew 21:12-14
12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”. 14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
God deserves honor to Him alone, and turning His place of worship into a store to profit from or to worship another Jesus with false teaching will bring a turnover from God at some point. God came to heal the broken spirits from the sin of men and women, and so we need to honor Him by not allowing false teaching or turning worship of Him into self-serving activities. He is holy. Therefore we are to be also.
